CARBONDALE – A Carbondale man is facing gun charges.

According to Carbondale Police, just before 5 Saturday afternoon, officers responded to the 500 block of East Walnut in reference to a report of a person shooting a gun.

Officers responded to the area and quickly located the suspect identified as 18-year-old Aidyn J. Finney of Carbondale.  

Officers charged Finney with Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Finney was lodged in the Jackson County Jail.  

No injuries or property damage were reported as a result of the shooting.  

Carbondale Police say their investigation is active and ongoing.
