MCLEANSBORO – Dora Louise Todd, age 102, of McLeansboro passed away at 9:50 a.m., Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Heritage Woods Assisted Living in McLeansboro.

Louise was born June 20, 1920 in Whitley County, Kentucky to Aaron Franklin Wells and Bertha May (Sammons ) Wells. She married Homer Todd in Akron, Ohio on October 27, 1944 and preceded her in death December 4, 1969.

Louise was a member of The McLeansboro Church of Christ. She was a retired seamstress and was employed by Elder’s Shirt Factory for several years. Louise served as one of the original “Snack Ladies” at Thursday School and she enjoyed making chicken and dumplings and other goodies for friends to enjoy.

Survivors include one sister Valerie Hamilton of Akron, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents Aaron and Bertha Wells, husband Homer and three brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be held Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. Speakers will include Nathan Rowland and Alan Teffertiller.

Burial will be in Blooming Grove Cemetery in McLeansboro.
