BENTON – Some strong winds were reported from thunderstorms that moved through Franklin County early Monday morning.

According to storm reports from the National Weather Service office in Paducah, wind gusts estimated at 55 mph along with pea size hail and heavy rainfall was reported in West Frankfort. Several small branches were blown down there too.

A large tree limb was reported down on a home in Christopher.

Large tree limbs were reported down in Zeigler.

There were also reports of power outages in Franklin County due to the storms.
