COLP – A man was arrested and cited for Possession of Methamphetamine after Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies saw the vehicle he was in commit several traffic violations on Andrew Springs Road in Colp early Wednesday morning.
According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, Dallas A. Woodward was taken to and lodged in the Williamson County Jail.
After deputies pulled the vehicle over, they identified the driver as Ricky L. Monteith.
While speaking with Monteith, deputies saw Woodward in the passenger seat. Woodward had an active Williamson County arrest warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine. Woodward was taken into custody.
The sheriff’s office K9 Roxy was deployed to conduct a free air sniff of the vehicle. The K9 alerted to the odor of narcotics coming from the vehicle.
A probable cause search of the vehicle located methamphetamine on the rear floorboard.
Woodward was then arrested, cited and taken to jail.
