WEST FRANKFORT – Illinois State Police responded to a vehicle fire involving a Greyhound bus around 4:15 Wednesday morning on southbound I-57 near milepost 62 in Franklin County.

According to ISP, a passenger was taken into custody for setting a seat on fire and stabbing another passenger. One person was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The fire was extinguished and the remaining passengers were transported from the scene to a safe location.
