ELDORADO – Ferrell Hospital is actively addressing the aftermath of significant flooding damage caused by the May 8 storms. Despite ongoing restoration efforts, the hospital remains on diversion and cannot accept new patients, including in the emergency department.

Restoration crews are currently onsite, working diligently to clean and sanitize the hospital. Ferrell Hospital is in close communication with the State of Illinois and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) to determine a timeline for reopening. However, at this time, there is no definitive date for reopening. Updates regarding the reopening will be communicated through local media, social media channels and MyChart.

Patients with questions regarding labs, radiology, procedures, or upcoming appointments are encouraged to call Ferrell Hospital at 618-273-3361. For appointment rescheduling or general clinic inquiries, patients can reach Ferrell Hospital Family Practice at 618-297-9665. Despite providers seeing patients at different offsite clinics, they will still be reachable through this line. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we navigate this temporary situation.
