CARBONDALE – An arrest warrant has been issued for a Centralia man involved in an alleged shooting that happened Saturday morning in Carbondale.

According to Carbondale Police, a Jackson County Judge issued an arrest warrant for 18-year-old Kaemarious K. Parks for Attempted Murder, Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon, and Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapons.

Parks is 5’4” tall, weighing 130 pounds with short hair and a mustache. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the “Champion” logo on the front, black shorts, and white tennis shoes fleeing westbound on foot from the 700 block of South Lewis Lane. Parks is considered armed and dangerous. You should contact law enforcement if contact is made with Parks.

Police responded to a report of shots fired at 6:50 Saturday morning in the 700 block of South Lewis Lane.

Officers located two individuals with gunshot wounds. Officers rendered aid and the two victims were transported to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale by the Jackson County Ambulance Service. One of the victims was treated and released. The other teenage juvenile was reported by police Saturday to be receiving continuing treatment.

The investigation has revealed that the shooting was a result of a dispute between known acquaintances. Carbondale Police continue to investigate.
