JOHNSTON CITY – A recent traffic stop in Williamson County led to a woman being cited on drug and gun charges.
According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies saw Felicia C. Craig commit several traffic violations and stopped her on Corinth Road near Johnston City around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 18.
Deputies approached Craig, who was immediately hostile toward law enforcement. Craig is known to deputies from prior contact.
Deputies saw that Craig’s destination and travel plans did not make sense and she changed her story several times.
While conducting the traffic stop, a Williamson County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit arrived on scene. The K9 was deployed to conduct a free air sniff of the vehicle. The K9 handler advised that K9 Shadow alerted to the odor of narcotics coming from the vehicle.
A probable cause search of the vehicle located methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a Hi-Point .380 caliber handgun.
Craig was cited for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapon.
Craig was taken to and lodged in the Williamson County Jail.
