MARION – A new traffic pattern begins today on Tower Square Plaza in Marion.

According to the City of Marion, Tower Square Plaza will transition to a true roundabout. This means that motorists entering the square will need to yield to those already circling. To alert drivers to this change, new yield signs were installed Sunday.

This update is long overdue and will significantly improve traffic flow during peak hours. The new roundabout design is anticipated to enhance both safety and efficiency, ensuring a smoother experience for everyone who travels through Tower Square.
