MCLEANSBORO – Pamela Jean (Abbott) Flannigan, age 69, and resident of McLeansboro, passed away 8:16 p.m., Saturday, August 24, 2024, at McLeansboro Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in McLeansboro.
Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral service is set for 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 28, at Harre Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Abbott officiating. Burial will be in the Brush Harbor Cemetery in McLeansboro.
Pam was born February 2, 1955, in McLeansboro to William H. Abbott and Barbara (Heimer) Abbott. She married Barry Flannigan on May 22, 1982, in McLeansboro. Pam was employed as Billing Supervisor at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. She was Baptist by Faith, loved to garden, and volunteer for Boy Scouts and Ladies Auxiliary at Hamilton Memorial Hospital, but most importantly she watched her grandchildren play sports.
Survivors include her husband, Barry; daughter, Milissa Patterson (husband Bryan), McLeansboro; son, Patrick Flannigan and Companion Beth Stephens, Carmi; son, Colton Flannigan, McLeansboro; grandchildren, Brady Thrane, Raynie Johnson of McLeansboro, and Gracey Stephens and Marley Stephens, Carmi; brother John Abbott (Wife Sharon)of Mt. Vernon; sister, Martha Immel (husband Ron), Carmi.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Barbie Lynn.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and will be accepted at Harre Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
