MARION – Williamson County taxpayers will soon see their annual property tax bills in their mailbox.

County Treasurer Ashley Gott says the first installment is due Sept. 30. The second installment is due Nov. 14.

Gott says a reassessment in all townships occurred this year under the authority of the Supervisor of Assessments. As a result, some townships may see fluctuations in their property tax bills.

Considering the potential challenges posed by the reassessment, the Williamson County Board of Commissioners has approved a deferment of all penalties until Dec. 12, 2024. This extension is intended to provide residents with additional time to complete their payments without incurring interest or penalties.

All residents are encouraged to review their tax bills carefully and to reach out to the Assessor’s Office with any questions or concerns at 618-998-2189 Ext. 5383.

The County is committed to working with property owners during this period of adjustment.
