MARION – Northbound I-57 in Marion was shut down for about an hour due to a crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle Monday evening.

Illinois State Police say the accident happened around 5:17 p.m. at mile marker 54.

The motorcycle driver was airlifted to a regional hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The interstate was shut down and reopened at 6:20 p.m.

ISP says no further information is available.
