WHITEASH – A disaster relief drive for victims of Hurricane Helene in Chimney Rock, NC, will be held starting today and running through Wednesday at Whiteash Freewill Baptist Church on Route 37 between Marion and Johnston City.

The following items are needed: water, batteries, flashlights, baby diapers, baby food, baby formula, baby wipes, hand sanitizer, adult diapers, gloves, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, plastic utensils, paper plates, non-perishable foods, feminine hygiene products, pet foods, shovels, buckets, can openers, blankets, coolers, cook stoves, fans, generators, first aid supplies, propane, large trash bags, and mops/brooms.

You may drop off donations from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Or if you need to call ahead to arrange a time to drop off donations, call 618-922-9660 and ask for Lori.
