CARBONDALE – Carbondale Police are looking for a Cairo man they say showed a weapon during an incident Saturday in the 700 block of North Giant City Road and fled from officers in a white sedan.

Detectives identified 30-year-old Nekuma L. Johnson of Cairo as the suspect.

With the assistance of the Jackson County State’s Attorney, Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Johnson, charging him with Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapons, Aggravated Fleeing to Elude, and Reckless Driving. Johnson has not been located. Johnson is considered armed and dangerous.
