NASHVILLE (WMIX) – Nashville Police arrested a 49-year-old Ashley man on drug charges Friday, after he allegedly resisted officers who subsequently tasered him.
According to NPD, around 4:25 p.m. Friday, officers stopped Frank D. Hale II for traffic violations as he was riding a bicycle on State Route 127 south of Mockingbird Road.
Police report that during the contact with Hale, officers located contraband on him. Officers then reportedly attempted to perform a further search of Hale, but he allegedly became combative and resisted officers. He was ultimately subdued and taken into custody after Taser deployments.
A further search of Hale and his belongings reportedly revealed suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Hale was taken to the Washington County Jail on charges of resisting a peace officer, unlawful possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
