MARION – The City of Marion wants all roofing contractors and companies operating in Marion to know that starting April 1, active checks for roofing permits will be conducted on all jobs within the city.

Since August 2002, the City of Marion has required individuals, partnerships, and corporations engaging in roofing for compensation within the city to obtain a permit from the city.

In order to secure a valid City of Marion roofing permit, you must provide proof of a valid active license from the State of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, along with the necessary insurance and bond in accordance with the Illinois Roofing Industry Licensing Act.
