BENTON – Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a woman for possessing meth after they responded to a report of a suspicious person near a home in rural Franklin County late Tuesday night.
According to Franklin County Sheriff Kyle Bacon, deputies arrived at the home around 11:20 p.m. and found a woman on the property. She was soon identified as 41-year-old Jennifer L. Mayo, who told deputies she lived in Patoka.
During the investigation, Mayo was found to be in possession of substances that field tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine. As a result, Mayo was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class 3 felony.
Mayo was taken to the Franklin County Jail for processing.
