HARRISBURG – State Senator Dale Fowler (R-Harrisburg) spent Valentine’s Day hand delivering homemade cards as a part of his annual Valentines for Seniors Card Drive.

“This is one of my favorite events every year and we could not have done this without the tremendous support of local organizations and groups across the 59th District,” said Senator Fowler. “It’s enlightening to see the smiles on the faces of our senior citizens when I hand deliver these cards to them every Valentines Day.”

Senator Fowler launched his annual Valentines for Seniors Card drive while seniors were isolated in care during the COVID-19 outbreak. Because of the success of the program, Senator Fowler continues to collect cards and deliver them to area seniors in assisted living and long-term care facilities.

“Each year my annual card drive has grown tremendously,” said Senator Fowler. “I continue to do this every year because it is important for our seniors to feel loved on a day that is focused on love. I look forward to this event every year.”

This year, Senator Fowler collected more than 11,500 cards at his Harrisburg District Office.
