WEST FRANKFORT – Wanda Louise Sinks, 96, of West Frankfort, Illinois, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024, at Franklin Hospital at 2:45 p.m.
Wanda was born July 9, 1927, in West Frankfort to Robert and Emma (Fletcher) Hall. She was a longtime member of Bethel Community Church. Wanda loved her family especially her grandchildren and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. She married Herman Sinks on June 29, 1946, and he preceded her in death.
She was preceded in death by her husband Herman Sinks, parents, stepfather Tony Lucas, and daughter-in-law Brenda Sinks.
Wanda is survived by her son Larry Sinks, brother Robert “Junior” Hall, grandchildren Bart (Holly) Sinks and Toni Sinks, and great-grandchildren Kelsey (Holden) Schaefer, Jackson Sinks, Lucas Roberts, and Makinley Roberts.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort, Illinois, with Brother Mike Cash officiating. Burial will be in Denning Cemetery on the Orient Road. Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
