THOMPSONVILLE – Oliver (Ollie) Graham Atwood, 14 months, passed away at home in Thompsonville, Illinois, on June 15, 2024.

Oliver was born to Dylan Atwood and Denika Laws on April 4, 2023, in Carbondale, Illinois. Oliver smiled, loved, and laughed a lot when playing with his surviving siblings, Roman and Isabella Atwood. Oliver your wings were ready, but we and our hearts were not.

Oliver is survived by his parents, Dylan Atwood and Denika Laws; brother and sister, Roman and Isabella Atwood; his grandparents, Kim Laws, William Laws, Karen (Atwood) and Jerome McDaniel, and Shawn and Carol Ratley; aunts and uncles, Shawna, Alizay Atwood, Meghan Laws, Macey Harris, Codie Buckholz, Tyler, Dakotah, Nico, and Tanner Atwood; and cousins Andrew and Izabella Berkel, Emmerson Harris, Ava Hayden, Zariah, Zaelynn, and Zayden Atwood.

Oliver was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Robert and Kay Graham, Bill and Lorna Laws, Robert and Ruth Beatty, Alva Dean and Mary Lou Atwood; and two aunts, Rebacca and Lavender Atwood.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort at 2 p.m. with Pastor Gary West officiating. Interment will be in the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton. Public visitation will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. The family of Oliver request that no one enter the funeral home prior to 12 p.m. to allow the family time together with him.

The family would like to say thank you all for your thoughts and prayers during this time. Memorials may be made to Dylan and Denika to help purchase a headstone for Oliver.
