CARBONDALE – The Carbondale Water Treatment Plant is back in operation after it experienced a failure with a piece of secondary water treatment equipment Thursday.
According to the City of Carbondale, the equipment was a non-essential piece and won’t affect overall water quality.
City staff worked quickly to mitigate the loss of water reserves. Water Plant staff will continue water sampling and water testing to ensure continued water quality. Further information will be made available if there are any concerns with water quality and/or supply.
